Across Borders, Protecting Kidney Health: Shijiazhuang Hetaiheng Hospital and Central African Republic’s Pharmacie Le Communautaire Sign Strategic Cooperation Agreement
SHIJIAZHUANG, Oct. 8, 2026 — Shijiazhuang Hetaiheng Hospital and Pharmacie Le Communautaire, a pharmaceutical company in the Central African Republic, held a signing ceremony for transnational medical cooperation at the hospital on the morning of Oct. 8, 2026. President Igor of Pharmacie Le Communautaire and his wife, Ms. Marielle, traveled to Shijiazhuang for the event. President Zhao Zhiye, President Shi Wei, President Guo Jiawang, President Tang Junting, and department directors and head nurses of Shijiazhuang Hetaiheng Hospital attended. The ceremony was hosted in both Chinese and French and took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
At the outset, the host introduced the core strengths of both sides. Founded in 1986, Shijiazhuang Hetaiheng Hospital is a specialized medical institution in China dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of kidney diseases. With more than 40 years of experience in the field, it has brought together senior specialists and developed a standardized, precision-oriented system integrating traditional Chinese and Western medicine. Equipped with advanced international medical devices, the hospital offers full-cycle services covering precise diagnosis, effective treatment, and scientific rehabilitation. Its patients come from more than 100 countries and regions.
Pharmacie Le Communautaire, the foreign partner, is located opposite the largest hospital in Bangui, the capital of the Central African Republic. Established in 2017, it has long been rooted in the local pharmaceutical market and receives a large number of kidney disease patients. It is familiar with the local healthcare system and people’s medical needs, and enjoys strong credibility and influence in the country.
In his speech, President Zhao Zhiye extended a warm welcome to President Igor and Ms. Marielle. He said medicine knows no borders, and as cooperation between China and the Central African Republic continues to deepen, traditional Chinese medicine culture is gaining global reach. Pharmacie Le Communautaire’s commitment to protecting public health aligns closely with the philosophy of Shijiazhuang Hetaiheng Hospital, and the signing was the result of shared values and sincere mutual trust.
President Zhao expressed three hopes: first, that cooperation between the two sides would make steady, long-term progress and yield fruitful results; second, that traditional Chinese medicine would travel across borders and bring the light of recovery to more kidney patients in the Central African Republic; and third, that the two sides would use medicine as a bond and culture as a bridge to promote mutual learning between civilizations and people-to-people ties between China and Africa.
In the future, he said, both sides will focus on mutual exchange of medical technology, academic experience, cross-border medical service coordination, and complementary sharing of quality resources, working together for mutual benefit.
President Igor recalled with emotion how he came to know Shijiazhuang Hetaiheng Hospital. In his home country, he said, many people suffer from kidney disease because of a lack of medicines and treatment. He learned about the hospital through Charlotte and decided to come for treatment. During his stay, he witnessed the remarkable effects of traditional Chinese medicine and felt the professionalism and warmth of the medical team, from administrative staff to doctors and nurses. He expressed special thanks to Dr. Li, Charlotte, and Nurse Li Yajie for their attentive care.
He said that after returning home, he would share his experience with kidney doctors and patients in the Central African Republic and, through this cooperation, make every effort to refer patients to Shijiazhuang Hetaiheng Hospital.
The ceremony then moved to its core segment. President Zhao Zhiye and President Igor jointly signed the cooperation agreement and posed for a photo. President Zhao Zhiye and President Shi Wei, on behalf of Shijiazhuang Hetaiheng Hospital, presented the “Cooperative Partner” plaque to Pharmacie Le Communautaire and gave commemorative gifts to Mr. Igor and Ms. Marielle, marking the deep friendship between the two sides and the promising start of their cross-border cooperation.
Though distance may be long, mutual understanding knows no bounds; doctors share one heart and move forward together. The signing was not only a new starting point for cooperation between Shijiazhuang Hetaiheng Hospital and Pharmacie Le Communautaire, but also a vivid example of friendly medical exchanges between China and the Central African Republic.
Both sides said they would take this cooperation as an opportunity to fully leverage their respective resource strengths, provide quality traditional Chinese medicine treatment to overseas patients, bring hope of health to kidney patients in the Central African Republic, and inject new momentum into the coordinated development of healthcare in both countries. The ceremony concluded successfully in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
